The initial migration plans I had in mind to move away from Neocities are taking longer than expected.
I'm considering setting up a stopgap measure in the meantime.
That way I can at least get started on some of the stuff I've got planned for this site.

All site assets that were still using PNGs have been swapped with GIFs.
I'm currently working on moving away from Neocities for hosting, as I want to make this site more accessible to legacy web browsers that don't support modern HTTPS standards.

As a side note, the image gallery has finally received a new update!
Yes, I know it's been two years since the initial release of the image gallery.
Hopefully it's next update will not take nearly as long this time.

Finally got around to deactivating the remaining Roblox accounts I had access to.
I had already deactivated the majority of my alts back in early July, but now I'm fully done with the platform.
This isn't just about the most recent missteps they've that's getting mainstream attention online. I've been done with the platform for years.
But thanks to those most recent and biggest missteps, they're beyond saving now. I regret ever spending time on the platform.

Boy, I sure am seeing a lot of Clippy everywhere recently. Who would've thought that one simple suggestion from a notable YouTuber would've gotten this far?
Of course, there's more to it than just Clippy profile pictures. It's a statement on just how many people are fed up with anti-consumer practices by the industry at large.

I will say, I'm starting to get pretty darn tired of reporting on the current major issues of the internet.
But it's important, especially since certain people keep doubling-down on government-mandated online age checks.
When the integrity of the entire internet is at stake due to things like this, it ultimately affects everyone, myself included.
That said, I'm probably not gonna make any more posts about this stuff going forward. Well, unless it's absolutely neccesary.

If all of this government-mandated online age check crap ever extends to the USA (where all of the big tech corps are), I may just leave the internet entirely.
Well, save for any business related stuff, since real life is a bit too integrated with the internet to go entirely cold turkey at this point.
But as far as the creative stuff goes? Yeah, no, it'll be over.

Seeing everything that Nintendo has been doing since the initial Switch 2 Direct happened, I've been reconsidering things.
I should really cancel my NSO subscription. They really don't deserve the easy money right now.
Once Rhythm Heaven Groove comes and goes next year, I doubt I'll be buying ANY Nintendo game at launch anymore.

The EU petition for Stop Killing Games has officially closed with a little over 1.4 million signatures.
A few days prior to it closing, however, a new option opened up for the SKG initiative! (still EU only unfortunately)

On another note, Neocities site profile comments have been enabled! Figured it was about time to do so.
(This could be a horrible idea, might not be permanent)

Crap, Neocities is likely going to get hit with these new regulations, if it hasn't already.
Might have to actually consider moving house away from Neocities, depending on how they enforce things going forward.

The time has come. The Featured section, starting today, can now contain multiple featured links at a time.
I wouldn't normally do this, but recent events in the gaming landscape have compelled me to do so.

In the future, the Featured section will be reworked into something greater. What that is exactly, I can't say as of now.
...I sense a storm brewing. There's no telling if humanity is prepared for what's to come...

From the looks of things, the EU petition for the Stop Killing Games initiative will be hitting 1.4 million signatures today!
It hasn't happened as of the time of writing this, but it's only a few hundred signatures away, so it's almost certainly going to cross the threshold very soon.
The UK petition for SKG closed a few days back, but there are still ways to contribute there.

Even when the EU petition for SKG hits the 1.4 million signatures threshold, it will still be important to continue having new signatures just to solidify it. Let's keep it rolling!

(Update: As I suspected, it officially crossed the 1.4 million threshold! I'll be keeping the SKG website as the Featured link until the EU petition stops accepting new signatures after July 31st.)

I'm surpised. The Stop Killing Games initiative for the EU signatures went from looking like it was going to flop,
straight to hitting the coveted 1 million signatures mark within like a week! Of course, because there is always the possibly for
signatures to be invalid from simple mistakes like mispelling your name, to much more legally severe ones like
faking being in the EU to sign the EU government petition, they're still pushing for more signatures.

I know this little website probably won't do much at this point, but for any EU or UK readers of my site, and you haven't already... Sign those petitions!

The long lost obscure Korean PC version of Pac-Man World 1 resurfaced online and has been properly archived!
Unfortunately, it's just the standard PS1 version running on an emulator from the time. The game still completely in English to boot.
Regardless, it's nice to know this release DID actually exist after all. Here it is in action.

The revamped english patch for Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary is finally out!
I'll be real with you all, this is probably the best Puyo rep we're gonna get this year, since SEGA continues to not care.
If you have a DS, 3DS, or PSP, as well as a copy of the game for any of the said consoles...

I've been thinking of migrating my Geometry Dash demon completion posts away from my GD account page.
It's been a bit annoying having to navigate past these to get to actually meaningful status updates on my GD profile.
When this migration occurs, it will probably be added to the site either as it's own page or merged in with the Blips page.

Hey y'all, I just watched the new Looney Tunes film in theaters. I gotta say, it's pretty darn good for what it is.
It's a shame that there weren't many people there to see it. More people deserve to know it exists. Especially those who enjoy 2D animation.
Though honestly, it's a mircale that an independent distrubtor was even able to give it a wider theatrical release to begin with.
Hopefully they can lock in a deal to also get Coyote vs. ACME released so it can finally escape production hell, but my hopes aren't high.

Never fun to see a company (regardless of country) go out of business.
(ok granted they were kinda living off of a single gacha game by the end. but it seemed like they cared about their ip to some extent...)

From what I can tell, all of the story mode content for Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop is out now.
The amount of rulesets added in updates also brings this game content-wise on par with the anniversary games.
Now to hope that this game eventually escapes it's Apple Arcade exclusivity.
Pretty wishful thinking though, since this is SEGA we're talking about. Just look at what happened to Chu-Chu Rocket Universe.

Seems like SEGA has partially listened from the feedback they received from delisting the older rereleases of the classic Sonic games.
Still a shame they're removing the ability to buy the original Sonic Generations standalone, but at least they aren't going the nuclear route this time...

A rare Microsoft W happened a few hours ago. They just open sourced MS-DOS 4.0 (and it's Multitasking variants!)
I don't think it would be a pipe dream anymore to expect the same to occur for Windows 1.0 down the road.
Then again, maybe not. But one can only dream, when Windows 11 continues to get worse each year.

Heard that Tetris Grand Master 1 was re-released on PS4 and Switch. Personally don't play much TGM, but cool to see this side of Tetris more easily accessible to others. ( even if it's just TGM1 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
